My current and all too infrequent musical project and outlet. As Meltwater
as a musical entity and spirit has now gone, probably for good, I needed some
new form of musical creativity.
I've never been a disciple of the guitar, all that scales and rhythms stuff was
well beyond me. I hadn't picked it up in over a year - the thought of dragging
all the equipment out was too much. I thought long and hard and the answer was
painfully simple.
I quickly loaded up loads of new sampling / looping / sequencing / synthesizing
software and set about making music on the PC. It was absurdly simple - it's where
I spend most of my time, on the PC, why not let it provide the things I was lacking?
I'd always loved some of the more weirder and alternative electronic music, so
it didn't seem to alien a form to start using (I already was with Meltwater
to a certain extent.)
In the end I set on using ACID, SymSynth, Hammerhead and Cool Edit Pro. I got
of to a flying start with my first track, which you can hear over at the DJ
Dio Bach mp3.com page.
I also did some graphics for the page, which you can see below. Click on one to
go listen to the music too.

Like most good ideas though, finding the time to do a load more of it has been
made impossible by other commitments. Hopefully though, DJ
Dio Bach will never split-up and always be there on hand for the next time
I get the music making bug...
